SplatFields: Neural Gaussian Splats for Sparse 3D and 4D Reconstruction
โWe observe that 3D Gaussian splats (3DGS) lack spatial autocorrelation of splat features, which leads to suboptimal performance in sparse reconstruction settings.
Our key idea is to introduce neural fields to regularize 3D gaussian splats for sparse 3D and 4D reconstruction.
We propose a novel optimization strategy that effectively regularizes splat features by modeling them as the outputs of a corresponding implicit neural field.โ
