LinPrim: Linear Primitives for Differentiable Volumetric Rendering

Contributions: โ€ข We introduce two novel scene representations based on transparent octahedron and tetrahedron primitives.

โ€ข We derive gradient-based optimization processes for the representations to adjust the primitives and population based on known views.

โ€ข We demonstrate that our differentiable, GPU-based rendering pipeline is real-time capable and produces high-fidelity scene reconstructions on real-world datasets.
